Got a great idea for improving Northeast Ohio? It's not too late to apply for the fifth installment of Accelerate: Citizens Make Change, a civic pitch competition slated for February 27, 2019 at the Global Center for Health Innovation. (Read our coverage of the 2018 event here.)

Presented by the Cleveland Leadership Center in partnership with Citizens Bank, the annual competition helps connect civic-minded Clevelanders with seed funding and exposure to further their ideas—whether one-off ideas or ongoing efforts.

Pitches are being accepted through November 30 in six categories: Authentic Cleveland Experiences, Community Change, Economic & Workforce Development, Educating for Tomorrow, Health & Wellness, and Quality of Life. If accepted to pitch at the live event, participants can compete for the top cash prize of $5,000 and runner-up prizes of $2,000. For more details or to apply, click here.
