On the heels of our successful On the Ground community reporting initiative last year in Old Brooklyn, we are announcing two OTG initiatives this year in the La Villa Hispana and Fairfax neighborhoods. For each neighborhood, we are seeking a freelance project editor to be the point person and work closely with our managing editor and partners to bring the vision to fruition. Duties will include developing, writing, assigning, and editing stories; engaging with the community; managing budgets; and attending/planning neighborhood events.

For the La Villa Hispana initiative, we are seeking someone who speaks both English and Spanish. The position will last 14 weeks with an average of eight hours per week.
