Cle-Vignettes: Armored up for ‘The Hunt’

The cast and crew of “The Hunt” spent eight hours filming in Cortland, Ohio on March 15. Filmmaker Johnny W. says he hopes to finish by July.

Fish scale armor is one of the armors in ancient China that first appeared in the elite forbidden army of the Sui Dynasty. It is mostly made of iron pieces and is mainly used for protective bow shooting.

The armor is worn outside of the traditional hanfu clothes. What Johnny is wearing is a real handmade armor based on the early Tang Dynasty and got popular during Ming Dynasty with Jinyiwei members.

CLE-Vignettes are photos that show how people in Northeast Ohio spend their time—what they are doing for fun and entertainment or just hanging out with friends and family.
