Famicos Foundation, the nonprofit dedicated to neighborhood revitalization, affordable housing, and providing integrated social services in greater Cleveland by empowering residents to invest in creating engaged, vibrant, diverse, healthy Cleveland neighborhoods, will hold its annual fundraiser tonight, Thursday, Oct. 5 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Legacy Hall in the Hough neighborhood.
With a Moonlight Masquerade theme filled with mystery and intrigue, this is Famicos’ single yearly event in its 53 years of service to raise money to cover the organization’s operating costs.
Famicos Foundation communications manager Ariana Johnson says she expects between 200 and 300 attendees to enjoy dinner, dancing, a networking hour, live music, and raffles and auctions. DaLaun Dillard, co-anchor of News Channel 5, will emcee the evening.
Donations and proceeds from Moonlight Masquerade ticket sales will allow the Famicos staff to run the organization’s 90 programs that serve thousands of families in Northeast Ohio, including the housing stability program, Digital and Health Equity Program, and a Free Community Tax Clinic.
With a goal of raising $120,000 at this year’s event, Famicos has already reached 71% of its goal—raising $107,000—but needs help reaching or surpassing its target.
Tickets to the Moonlight Masquerade Charity Gala are $100 per person or $175 per couple. Raffle tickets for prizes like a New Orleans Escape or a two-night stay at Balamere Suites in Perrysburg, cost between $20 and $100.
Moonlight Masquerade happens tonight, Thursday, October 5 at Legacy Hall, 6800 Lexington Ave., from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
