Beacon of fun: Asian Lantern Festival in photos

The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo kicked off its annual Asian Lantern Festival earlier this month, with new highlights and features worthy of Instagram

This year’s festival features live acrobatic performances, culturally inspired cuisine, and large-scale displays that include a nearly 40-foot-tall giant lantern, walk-through tunnels, and a 150-foot-long Enchanted Garden.

And FreshWater managing photographer Bob Perkoski recently caught the display on film.

The Asian Lantern Festival runs Thursdays through Sundays from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. through Sunday, Aug. 27. Walk-through tickets are $22 each, or $70 for a four-pack; Drive-through tickets are $55 per car.
