Spectrum awards $25,000 to CMHA for expansion of workforce development efforts
Spectrum awarded the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority a $25,000 grant to support workforce development programs. More than 2,000 residents have received job training since 2022 through the Spectrum Community Center Assist initiative, with over 600 job seekers advancing their employment goals in 2025 alone at the Spectrum Training & Technology Center at Lakeview Community Center.
Ground level: Saint Luke's Foundation plans new Woodland HQ to boost community connection
The Saint Luke's Foundation has plans to relocate its headquarters from its current sixth-floor offices to a new 21,000-square-foot, ground-level space in the Woodland neighborhood. Officials hope the move, will make the foundation more accessible and visible to the community it serves, with 65% of the new space dedicated to community use.
Community unity: Public block party will celebrate opening of MidTown Collaboration Center
The MidTown Collaboration Center, a new 98,000-square-foot innovation hub in the Hough neighborhood, is celebrating its grand opening with a community block party on May 16. The center, developed by the Cleveland Foundation, JumpStart, KeyBank, and other partners, aims to boost economic activity and create jobs while bringing together multiple organizations focused on community-centered research and programming initiatives.
