Urban Community School has been around since 1968, but this is a pivotal time in the school's history. In spring 2020, the school will open an $8 million, 32,000-square-foot community clinic in partnership with MetroHealth. The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, Cleveland Food Bank, and United Way will also have a presence and offer services at the school—all in line with the school's mission of serving low-income children and families in the area.
As president of Urban Community School
, Tom Gill is leading the charge. On this edition of the FreshFaces podcast, we interview Gill to learn more about the school's ambitious new direction and why it matters so much.
