As the calendar flips to March, not only do most Clevelanders begin anticipating Spring, but they also celebrate Women’s History Month.

What better way to celebrate than with the Cleveland Museum of Art’s monthly MIX event, with themed music, dancing, cocktails, food, and, of course, art?

DJ Guilty PleasuresThis Friday, March 7, CMA will host its dance party celebrating women of the disco movement with MIX: Dancing Queen in the Ames Family Atrium, when DJ Hodgepodge Lodge (Natalie Ann) and DJ Guilty Pleasures (Rachel Hunt) will spin vinyl disco sets that incorporate classic disco hits alongside deeper cuts.

“Come get a workout or just sway in place on Friday, March 7, at MIX: Dancing Queen,” says DJ Hodgepodge Lodge. “DJ Guilty Pleasures and I are spinning vinyl at the Cleveland Museum of Art for Women's History Month—it's going to be a real good time!”

In addition to groovy disco tunes, Bon Appétit will offer themed food and drink items, including cocktails, beer, and wine, for purchase.

Bakery items include black forest cake, pineapple upside down cake, pimento focaccia, butterscotch banana pudding, and rocky road cookies. Grab-and-go choices include spinach dip with veggies and pumpernickel, a cheese box, jelly fruit cups, or garden salad.

Try heartier items like Hawaiian flatbread or pasta primavera bake; or pick up a tuna melt, jackfruit melt, or crinkle cut fries with black pepper ranch from the Grill. Or go Asian with shrimp or tofu fried rice or freshly-made sushi.

Don’t forget to check out the Picasso and Paper exhibition before it ends on March 23. With nearly 300 works that span the artist’s career, the exhibit highlights Picasso’s relentless exploration of paper. MIX attendees get free admission during the event.

Tickets are $16 in advance, $5 for CMA members and free for Leadership Circle members; $16 the day before the event, $18 day-of via online purchase, and $25 at the door for nonmembers.
