The Florence O’Donnell Wasmer Gallery at Ursuline College in Pepper Pike is calling for emerging and professional women artists who live in Northeast Ohio to apply for its upcoming The New Masters 3: Women Artists of Northeast Ohio, a juried exhibition of diverse artistic disciplines in honor of women's creativity and vision.
The New Masters 3 will run from Friday, Nov. 10 through Thursday, Jan. 25 at the Wasmer Gallery. Submissions will be accepted through this Sunday, Oct. 8 at 11:59 p.m. and is open to female artists who are ages 18 and older and live in the 18 counties that make up Northeast Ohio.
Showcased artists are eligible for $2,800 in cash prizes, with $1,000 for Best in Show, $750 for First Prize, $500 for Award of Distinction, $250 for Award of Merit, and three honorable mention prizes of $100 each.
The event will be juried by painter Hilary Gent, director of HEDGE Gallery in the Detroit Shoreway’s 78th Street Studios.
Submissions are $10 per entry, with a maximum of three entries per artist. Registration is required.
