On Wednesday, July 2, the Cleveland Orchestra performed a free community concert at Cain Park in Cleveland Heights. Anthony Parnther, music director of the San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra and known for conducting many acclaimed films, led the orchestra in the special performance. This is the fourth time the Cleveland Orchestra has performed at Cain Park and the first time since 1957.
In these photos, Parnther and the orchestra perform Maurice Peress' arrangement of Leonard Bernstein's Overture to West Side Story and Margaret Bonds’ Benediction from Montgomery Variations.
