On Sunday, April 5, the Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF) announced the winners of its 49th edition, CIFF49, recognizing exceptional independent filmmaking across a diverse range of categories.
One of the largest and longest running festivals in the US, CIFF received more than 3,500 film submissions, of which 300 feature and short films were selected.
The selections represented the works of local and global filmmakers from 60 different countries, many of whom attended their screenings, participated in Q&As, and engaged with audience members over the span of 10 days, from March 27 to April 5, at Playhouse Square.
