This Saturday, Nov. 8, Cleveland’s nonprofit visual arts industry forum and supporter, Collective Arts Network (CAN), will host CAN Journal’s annual benefit, Buy Art, Buy Ohio—an evening at The Hall at St. James in Lakewood.

CAN Journal’s signature event offers guests the opportunity to learn about local art organizations, connect with artists and fellow supporters, and celebrate Cleveland’s creative community.

The fundraising event kicks off the holiday shopping season by showcasing Cleveland’s vibrant arts community, highlighting the work of local artists. The evening also supports CAN Journal’s mission as a small, grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to covering and connecting the region’s visual arts scene.

This year’s benefit will feature "CAN You See Me Now,"  an immersive projection-mapped art experience showcasing the work of more than 30 regional artists.

Artist Jason Toth animated and edited the immersive projection-mapped art experience.Animated and edited by Cleveland-based visual artist Jason Toth, known for his metal prints, hyper-color photographic and abstract art of CLE's landmarks featured in his 78^th Street Studios space, Saturday’s installation transforms The Hall at St. James through seven synchronized projectors, enveloping guests in a dynamic visual composition powered by the venue’s state-of-the-art technology.

The evening will begin with an exclusive VIP Hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., with an open bar, expanded hors d’oeuvres, and early access to the event. General admission is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a cash bar and catered food.

Throughout the night, attendees will experience “CAN You See Me Now,” an immersive video installation, enjoy music, and have the opportunity to participate in an auction that features locally sourced goods and art.

Additionally, CAN Journal will debut its Local Holiday Shopping Guide, which spotlights creative makers and organizations across Northeast Ohio.

Tickets are $50 for general admission; VIP admission is $75 and includes early admission, open bar, and expanded hors d’oeuvres. Donations are also welcomed.

All proceeds from the evening directly support CAN Journal’s ongoing operations—helping sustain its mission to cover, connect, and champion the visual arts across Northeast Ohio.

Participation in Buy Art, Buy Ohio allows CAN Journal to continue providing independent arts journalism, artist features, exhibition coverage, and community resources that strengthen Northeast Ohio’s arts ecosystem.
