Pandemonium: Cleveland Public Theatre to host annual benefit, theatrical spectacular


Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) will be transformed into a labyrinth of theater, dance, visual art, and performance this Saturday, Sept. 9 at its annual benefit and theatrical spectacular, Pandemonium 2023: Into the Depths.

Now in its 21st year, Pandemonium is always the event to see and be seen. The all-inclusive tickets feature artistic expression, fabulous food from local chefs, free drinks, and free valet parking. 

This year’s artists include Bella Sin, Blakk Jakk Dance Collective, Wind and Sand, Ballet Legato, Inlet Dance Theatre, Verb “Ohio Contemporary Ballet,” Mojuba! Dance Collective, Reflections Dance Theater, Teatro Público de Cleveland, and  Masrah Cleveland Al-Arabi.

The evening’s entertainment lineup with also feature a scene from the upcoming CPT production “Reverie Oracle,” written and directed by CPT executive artistic director Raymond Bobgan.

PANDEMONIUMPANDEMONIUMFood stations representing a variety of culinary palettes from some of Cleveland’s most celebrated restaurants will feature Grumpy’s Café, Gypsy Beans & Baking Co., Indian Delight, Local West, Ninja City, Rincón Criollo, Skye LaRae’s Culinary Services with chef Eric Wells, The Root Café, and XYZ the Tavern.

This year, Nic Barlage, CEO of Rock Entertainment Group, will be honored with CPT’s annual PAN Award for his commitment to the Great Cleveland community, the arts, education, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Pandemonium supports CPT’s education programs that serve local students, many of whom live in public housing, and Y-Haven Theatre Project, a program for residents of YMCA of Greater Cleveland Y-Haven, a program providing temporary housing and substance use disorder treatment to people experiencing homelessness, re-entering the community from incarceration, or recovering from opioid use disorder.

The money raised at Pandemonium also allows the CPT to support new work by underrepresented playwrights and to produce the socially conscious thought-provoking productions for which it’s known.
