Since its inception in 1984, Quebec-based Cirque du Soleil has entertained over 100 million spectators. Close to 15 million people will see a show in 2012 alone. There are currently 21 different touring and resident shows taking place somewhere on the planet.

The now-world famous acrobatic theatre troupe bounds into Cleveland this weekend to perform Dralion. The show fuses 3000-year-old Chinese acrobatic arts with the multidisciplinary approach of Cirque du Soleil. Shows will be held tonight through Sunday, with two performances each on Saturday and Sunday, at the Wolstein Center at Cleveland State University.

Fresh Water photographer Bob Perkoski "snuck" into Thursday's rehearsal for some rare behind-the-scenes glimpses of what goes into preparing for a show. Also included are his photos from Wednesday's premier.

Originally from Conneaut, Ohio, Perkoski now lives close to the city in Parma. He has been Fresh Water's managing photographer since the publication's September 2010 inception.
