On Martin Luther King Jr. Day this Monday, Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Cleveland Museum of Art, and CMA's Community Arts Center, will offer free admission and programming to celebrate Dr. King's legacy. The celebrations feature  activities ranging from planetarium shows and wildlife encounters to art-making workshops, live performances, and storytelling sessions. Several other University Circle institutions are also participating, with University Circle Inc. providing free CircleLink shuttle service to all locations.

For more than 40 years, photojournalist Roger Mastroianni has chronicled Cleveland's arts, healthcare, and corporate landscapes—capturing everything from Cleveland Orchestra performances to hospital operating rooms. Mastroianni's work is a living archive of Cleveland's cultural history and the evolution of photojournalism itself.

"One Art One Community," an art exhibit at Case Western Reserve University's Wade Park Community Engagement Center, showcases 46 works by 16 incarcerated artists from Grafton Correctional Institution. The exhibit is meant to create meaningful connections between inmates and Cleveland community members. with Community Voice labels written by people impacted by incarceration.

This Friday, the Cleveland Museum of Art will host MIX: Renaissance to Revolution, celebrating both Beyoncé's music with DJ Lily Jade and DJ Black Unicorn, and the museum's largest fashion exhibition in it history, Renaissance to Runway: The Enduring Italian Houses.

The Cleveland Silent Film Festival & Colloquium (CSFF) wrapped up its 2025 fall viewing series of silent films set to live musical accompaniment. Tickets and sponsorships are now on sale for the Cleveland Restoration Society's 2025 Benefit on Friday, Nov. 21. Towards Employment is hosting its "Work & Reentry Experience" at the Cleveland Public Library, featuring live jazz music and personal stories from program alumni. The free event celebrates the resilience of people who have overcome challenges to achieve meaningful employment and successful reentry into society.

The Cleveland Museum of Art's annual Chalk Festival, a modern interpretation of a 16th-century Italian tradition, is this weekend on the south plaza, walkways, and the Fine Arts Garden. Artists of all skill levels are invited to create chalk masterpieces, with professional artists joining community groups and families in a colorful celebration of art and self-expression.

The Cleveland Silent Film Festival and Colloquium's fall series features five silent films from the 1920s accompanied by live music. The festival, which includes screenings at the Cleveland Museum of Art and other venues, celebrates the centennial of these classic films and the Art Deco movement with a mix of orchestral performances, chamber music, and even a metal band.

The Cleveland Museum of Natural History is hosting a special Teen Night this Friday, August 29, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Teens ages 13 to 18 are invited to explore the museum's recently transformed exhibits and participate in various activities, including wildlife encounters, science demos, and scavenger hunts—all for a $5 admission fee. Pre-registration required.

A study led by CMNH paleoanthropologist Dr. Emma Finestone reveals that ancient humans in southwestern Kenya traveled up to eight miles to collect high-quality stones for toolmaking more than 2.6 million years ago. This discovery pushes back the earliest known evidence of long-distance resource transportation by 600,000 years. Conducted at the Nyanga site on Kenya's Homa Peninsula, the research suggests that early hominins integrated tool technology into foraging strategies more extensively than previously thought.

The Cleveland Museum of Art's young affiliates group, Column & Stripe, today will host the second installment of its Art of Fashion series. Art of Fashion: Makers and Innovators Panel features a panel of local designers and innovators who will discuss the future of fashion and Cleveland's role in the national scene.

The 79th annual One World Day on Sunday, Aug. 24 at the Cleveland Cultural Gardens will celebrate multiculturalism and showcase the diverse nationalities and cultural groups in Northeast Ohio. The event features cultural performances, international cuisine, the opportunity to explore about 40 Cultural Gardens, and Cleveland Historical's self-guided audio tours of  the gardens.

The Cleveland Silent Film Festival & Colloquium will present a free double bill of silent shorts at the Cleveland Public Library as part of the library's 100th anniversary celebration. The event features "War Story," a contemporary silent film inspired by Charlie Chaplin's work, along with Chaplin's "Sunnyside."
